The secret of gaining masses of free targeted traffic to your website is via the use of information in many different ways. Now just let that above statement sink in... "MASSES OF FREE TARGETED TRAFFIC" to YOUR website!
It's immensly important to attract targeted traffic to your website, and it doesn't matter whether you own a local business, are selling someone elses products, creating services or e-products. The most awesome sales converting site in the world isn't worth squat, if you cannot attract bucket loads of free traffic to it. Therefore the importance of having rock solid informational marketing strategies in place, where you can mix free (and paid) methods to reach awesome sales outcomes.
How do you do this?
Well there's a number of ways you can begin using your information and re-purpose it to spread all over the internet and your local business landscape.
Here are some of the most powerful ways to go about it:
1. Article Marketing - You might have brochures, audios, videos, reports that you can take already and repurpose into original, high-quality articles and submit them to article hubs. If you type the term "article hubs" or "submit articles" into Google, there'll be a number of lists of article hubs you can manually submit to. You could also type in "top 50 article hubs" to get the best ones to submit to.
Your aim should always be on quality, not quantity, by writing an article that contains awesome how-to information that steps a reader through a process will give them value from you and make them want to know more. Marlon Sanders is an expert at this and is dubbed the king of step-by-step marketing, try googling his name sometime and see what comes up.
One of the most important article hubs that you need to become listed in is EzineArticles.com, if you can list your articles there and in fact be committed enough to write 10 good quality, longer than 500-word articles, you could be listed as a premium article provider, and this will then position you to potentially gain a leader status in your industry on that hub, that's the power of writing articles.
2. Audio / Podcast Marketing - Once you've created one article, that's right, just one single article and it's written well and submitted and accepted at the major article hubs, you can then create an audio interview with a well known expert in your industry, where you share the ideas around the topic you wrote about.
The same process then applies, you can submit your audio to any number of podcast hubs, which once again is free, you can also approach other websites that have an informational style approach and offer that interview to them for some additional exposure, some will interview you and others you may never hear back from, you just need to be authentic in your approach to the webmasters and explain what you're looking at doing, and how you wish to create "VALUE" to their website.
If you talk in terms of creating value for a webmaster, and how what you have and them offering it to their list can help them, you'll have much more of a chance of getting accepted.
So you might say something like, "I saw your information marketing site online and think it's great. Would you be OPEN to swapping free content, so we can both gain additional leads?"... Then allow them to ask you questions on what you had in mind, whatever you do, DON'T go into a sales pitch or you'll just lose them right there and then.
3. Video Marketing - This one is probably the most popular ways of getting massive targeted traffic to your website, building rapport in advance and creating a following. If you can Google up "Top Video Hubs" and find the top 20 say, you can then begin creating "How To" videos for example around your niche. Step-by-step videos for how to do certain things which you offer professionally, will always get followers and questions being asked, which is exactly what you want.
When it comes time to submit the videos, articles and aduios, you'll dicover there's description areas and bio boxes for the articles. Be as descriptive and persuasive as you can around solving a followers problems in this, but DO NOT promote anything in the actual video, article or audio which is a no, no. Be sure to include terms in your descriptions, titles and articles that people will look for in Google and other search engines also.
Here's a little trick when keyword optimizing your information, go into Google and type in "Keyword Tool" and in the results a free keyword tool by Google will display, this is your golden highway to being effective. Obviously you'll need to learn how to use this effectively and Google has some excellent instructions right on their website and in their search engines if you look up videos on "how to use google keyword tool" you'll get them for free.
The best way to do keyword optimization is to group your keywords into categories for each section of your website. For example, if you have a dog site, and sell kennels, you might have a whole section on kennels, and a word someone might type in is "dog kennelsL or better yet "buy dog kennels" plus your town next to it. Then go ahead and create numerous videos and information about each category, product or service you're listing and you'll attract a lot of highly qualified traffic.
This is going to be quite a fair bit of work and a weekly time commitment will be required if you're going to succeed, as there's no free rides in business. Unless you have a "LOT" of money to invest in top article writers, you're better off starting with this yourself and doing less, as opposed to outsourcing to a low-quality, low-cost team and ruining your reputation.
What's the difference between free and paid?
The free way of doing it means lots of work, because your doing it yourself. It's effective, but if you have to be stuck doing this for 30 hours a week it's going to become very monotonous but effective none the less.
After you've created some traffic and income, probably 6 to 8 months of doing it manually, you can then hire good outsourcers to write in your voice, just ensure they are excellent at what they do). Plus you can create multiple original versions from one article called "Spinning", which has its advantages also when being spread by certain tools all over the internet to blogs, article hubs, websites etc that are in alignment with your industry. This is incredibly effective and at this point will have created traffic you probably cannot switch off as it will have a permanent place on each of the websites it's submitted to.
Why is this important to you? It's important because you need related links back to your website from people who read your article all over the web, this both helps your rankings in Google and the likes, but more importantly it puts you in touch with targeted prospects.
And another reason why backlinks are essential to your success is Google looks at them and defines their relevance to your website. When you use keywords people are searching for and make links out of them in your resource, bio box and description boxs with your information marketing and link them back, you'll build a list of followers who know exactly what you're after, these are hot prospects and are the ones that are likely to buy from you.
So when it comes to distinguishing yourself from your competitors both online and offline, you'll win hands down, as YOU have the content already up there ready to point interested parties towards and this plays a big part in building trust.
Another excellent straetegy is using local keywords to win searches in your local area. So by optimizing your bio box and description boxes with local keywords for example "Buy Dog Kennels New York", you'll gain locals coming to your site and then calling you, so explore the local search phrases thoroughly, and use them.
If you then research the phrases further, so back to our example "Buy Dog Kennels New York" and type that into Google, and there's under 300,000 results, KABOOM!... You have every chance of getting on the front page over time for that phrase.
